Electrolytic copper
99.97% pure, bright annealed – low resistance and long life.
We keep our process simple and fully in our own hands. From copper rod to a labelled 90 m coil, every stage happens inside our Devguradiya unit – so the quality of a Farmicore wire never depends on anyone else.
1We start with electrolytic copper rod (and EC-grade aluminium rod for aluminium cables). The rod is drawn through a series of dies down to the exact strand diameter – for example 0.3 mm strands for flexible house wire.
2Drawn copper is work-hardened, so it is annealed – heated and cooled in a controlled way – to become soft, bright and highly conductive. The strands are then bunched into the conductor for each size (14, 22, 36, 56 or 84 strands).
3The conductor runs through the extruder where FR PVC compound is applied at a uniform thickness, in the colour you need – red, yellow, blue, black or green. Submersible cables get three cores laid flat and a tough black PVC outer sheath.
4The insulated wire is water-cooled, printed, measured by meter counter and wound into neat 90 m coils (longer lengths for submersible and aluminium cables on request).
5Each coil is checked visually and by size, labelled with size and colour, and packed in protective wrap, ready for dispatch to your site or shop.
The metal that carries the current and the plastic that keeps it safe. We do not compromise on either.
